To all narrow gauge railfans, Hawaiian history buffs & those who love the island of Maui;
I highly recommend this DVD The Kahului Railroad. The producers did a fantastic job of restoring 1960 colour film footage of a unique & unusual narrow gauge rail operation that lasted till 1966. The scenery is beautiful, KRR had the last operating steam locomotive in Hawaii. It served the pineapple & sugar industries with unique rolling stock. The views of Kahului town in 1960 brought back great childhood memories. If you like early diesels, industrial switching, harbour scenes , historic narrow gauge stock, you will want to purchase this DVD!
