Love at Sunset is a creative blend of smooth Jazz and Easy Listening with exceptional expressions of R&B. David is the brother of the world famous Platters. David has been referred quite often to the style of Jimmy Smith on keyboards.
A name very well-known to established musicians and a name to be known by new and upcoming musicians.
David has been compared to many great Jazz and Blues Legends.
His style is Unique, to say the least. He has been referred quite often to the style of Jimmy Smith on the keyboards. His mastery of the Hammond B3 is like none other. Whether it be Jazz or Blues, this man will have you tapping your toes and dancing on the floor. When he stands, just be prepared to fall in love with his keyboard or organ music all over again. When he is using two keyboards, expect the double whammy.
This California native hails from Fresno. He is the youngest of seven and has been surrounded by music his entire life. His older brothers were part of the Doo-Wop Era. Leonard and Donald Wyatt were known throughout the music industry. They sang across the country opening with such star-studded groups as The Nat King Cole Trio, The Platters and the Coasters. He emulated his brothers' musical influences and it has been running deep within him since he was a youngster.
He grew up as a young man playing in local bands and from that point, realized that he had been given an extraordinary talent. He could not deny this love and gift. He gives God all the glory for his talent. He began to play at the age of 15 with the Supreme Jubilees as a keyboardist. This afforded him the opportunity to travel across the country as did his brothers and shared the stage with The Mighty Clouds of Joy, a Gospel Group. At the age of eighteen, he formed a group named "Black Fur." He is talking with the groups original members about a Europe tour.
They will begin their tour sometime next year.
